The Beverly Hillbillies Custom Truck is one of more than 140 vehicles from the Ron Pratte Collection crossing the block at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction in January.

Here is a rare opportunity to own a piece of the Beverly Hillbillies history. This vehicle was built, signed and purchased from none other than George Barris of Barris Kustom Industries. Barris Kustom Industries has been in business since 1944 and are well-known for their movie vehicles such as the “General Lee,” the “Munster Mobile” and the “Batmobile.”

Documented by Mr. Barris as one of five vehicles built, it was filmed in the TV series as well as the Beverly Hillbillies movie. It is world famous for its unprecedented 12-year run on the original TV series with such stars as Buddy Ebsen, Irene Ryan, Max Baer Jr., Donna Douglas and Nancy Kulp.

This operable piece of Hollywood history was constructed using a 1922 Oldsmobile base and a vintage truck chassis. This amazing, impressive Hillbilly Truck known as the “Jalopy” has been used at the Autorama, World of Wheels and Rod and Custom Car Shows.

The Beverly Hillbillies Custom Truck (Lot #2005) will cross the auction block in Scottsdale on Tuesday, Jan. 13.

Ron Pratte’s prestigious collection of automobilia will kick off the 44th Annual Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction beginning Saturday, Jan. 10 at 9 a.m. and running through Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 1 p.m. Pratte’s vehicles first cross the block at 4 p.m. on Tuesday with lot numbers 2000 through 2109 and will continue with lot numbers 2500 through 2530 on Saturday, Jan. 17.   back...
