The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers in the north Valley to use caution on I-17 at Happy Valley and Deer Valley roads this weekend. The following restrictions are scheduled to be in place:

Northbound exit to Deer Valley Road from the Loop 101 ramps at the I-17 interchange closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (June 23-24) for city of Phoenix pavement-improvement work on Deer Valley Road. The northbound I-17 on-ramp at Deer Valley Road also will be closed. Expect lane restrictions along Deer Valley Road between 19th Avenue and I-17. DETOUR: Consider using Rose Garden Lane or Pinnacle Park Road as alternate routes.
Expect lane restrictions on Happy Valley Road west of I-17 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (June 23-24) for city of Phoenix pavement-improvement work on Happy Valley Road. Lane restrictions planned on Happy Valley Road between 43rd Avenue and the roundabout on the west end of the I-17 interchange. DETOUR: Consider using alternate routes, including Pinnacle Peak Road.
