Phoenix Racetrack Keeps Family Fun Affordable

(PHOENIX) Taking the entire family to most sports venues in the Valley would set most people back more than $200. That’s not so at Turf Paradise where grandstand admission is just $2 and kids 16 and under get in free. That’s for a full day of live horse racing. To drive home that point Turf Paradise is holding Super Saturday February 15th. The first 4,000 paid admissions will get a free T-shirt.

The day also features:

Live Music
A Family Fun Park with bounce house inflatables, pony rides and face painting
$2 Draft Beer
A BBQ Tent
A full card of live horse racing
The Bud Girls from 1:30 to 3:30pm

Super Saturday is also a signature day for local horse racing as Turf Paradise hosts three stakes races.

The $75,000 Phoenix Gold Cup
The $35,000 Turf Paradise Handicap
The $35,000 Sun City Handicap

The day also features the Budweiser Classic.

As always, general parking is free at Turf Paradise. Valet parking is also available for $5

Turf Paradise General Manager Vincent Francia stated, “This is a great opportunity to take the family out for a day at the races without busting a budget. It also happens to be one of the most competitive days of the season with three stakes races and the Budweiser Classic.”

Turf Paradise opened its doors in 1956 and has operated at the same location (19th Avenue and Bell) ever since making it Arizona’s first sports franchise. The season runs until May 6th.   back...
