Study is examining options for segment south of Van Buren

A public information meeting on a study of alternatives for the planned Loop 303 freeway segment south of Van Buren Street will be held Wednesday, Dec. 6, in Goodyear.

The Arizona Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration are taking the next steps to select a preferred alternative for Loop 303 between Van Buren Street and the proposed State Route 30. The project is tentatively scheduled for construction starting in 2020 as part of the Maricopa Association of Governments’ Regional Transportation Plan.

The meeting about the ongoing Loop 303 draft environmental assessment and design concept report is scheduled as follows:

The Loop 303 study schedule also calls for a public hearing on the draft environmental assessment and design concept report as well as the selection of a recommended alternative in spring 2018. The environmental assessment and design concept report are due for completion in summer 2018.   back...
