Bust Nets 3+ Tons of Marijuana

Border Patrol agents, aided by a detector dog, seized almost $5 million worth of marijuana being transported in a trailer in south Texas.. A Border Patrol canine team alerted to the truck as it pulled up to the checkpoint. The vehicle was referred to secondary inspection, where agents discovered the narcotics hidden behind boxed appliances. The marijuana has a street value of $4.9 million.. The driver, marijuana and truck were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
