ATF Offers $5,000 Reward

Investigators Seek Information on Armed Robberies at Subway in Evansville EVANSVILLE, Ind. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) along with the Evansville Police Department, announced the reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the armed robberies of the Subway sandwich shop on Lincoln Avenue near the University of Evansville campus April 20 and May 11, and the Subway sandwich shop at 1400 Covert Avenue on April 25. On each of the dates, at the Subway restaurant locations, armed robberies occurred by an individual who displayed a firearm while wearing black clothing and a face mask. Investigators are analyzing evidence collected and are actively pursuing all investigative leads. ATF and police are seeking information from the public that may assist in solving these crimes. "The individual(s) responsible for these robberies need to be caught and held accountable for their actions," said Patrick Hand, ATF, supervisory special agent, Indianapolis Group III, Columbus Field Division. ATF is the lead federal law enforcement agency with jurisdiction for investigating violations of federal firearms laws.
