The devastation from Hurricane Katrina has left unprecedented destruction in her path. At one point, I heard there were 40,000+ homes underwater. The sheer magnitude is nearly incomprehensible. The current administration has been coordinating efforts from a number of federal agencies and departments. A listing of the most recent update from the U.S. government is on our website at tontobasinnews.com In addition to the recent information on the devastated areas, the site includes a listing with phone numbers of organizations taking donations. The website has been steadily growing in size as new information is added on a daily basis. Some of the more recent additions include current real estate listings with pics, photos from Iraq, a section for Roosevelt history (I'm still in the process of adding information here), photos from the Roosevelt area (feel free to send your photos to me via email (jpg only please), cool, useful and interesting links, and current news from around the country. There is also an area for subscriptions via credit cards or PayPal. Comments regarding the site can also be emailed directly to me. The last big holiday of the summer has arrived and gone.
