FBI Seeks Public Help in Phoenix Bank Robber Case

Special Agent in Charge Jana D. Monroe of the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced on September 28, 2005 that the FBI, Phoenix Division, is asking for the publics assistance in identifying a serial bank robber 
who has committed four armed bank robberies in the Phoenix area since August 16, 2005.
This serial robber initially struck on August 16, 2004 in the 3400 block of West Polk Street, Phoenix, Arizona. Subsequent robberies occurred on September 1, 2005 in the 1800 block of East Camelback Road, Phoenix, Arizona, on September 6, 2005 in the 
12000 block of North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona, and on September 16, 2005 in the 5400 block of West Northern Avenue, Glendale, Arizona.
Bank surveillance video captured images of the robber on August 16, 2005 and September 16, 2005. The robber wore a hood during the commission of other 
robberies; however, authorities have reason to believe all four robberies were committed by the same individual. The robber has been described as being a white or Hispanic male, appears to be 25-30 years of age, is 59ÂÂÂ-61 in height, weighing 180-200 lbs, and has a very short or shaved hair style. The robber has been observed fleeing in two different vehicles, a newer model brown pick-up truck and a maroon colored Chevrolet Caprice.
These robberies are being jointly investigated by the FBI and local authorities. Anyone with information about these robberies is urged to call the FBI at 602-279-5511. Callers are not required to identify themselves. Armed bank robbery is a violent crime, and the public should use caution and contact the FBI or call 911, if needed.
