D-backs Announce Largest Summer Baseball, Softball Camp Schedule

D-backs Training Centers to host 68 camps in 37 Arizona cities PHOENIX -- Children ages 6-18 can now register to participate in any of the 58 baseball and 10 fast-pitch softball D-backs Training Centers camps to take place in 37 Arizona cities in June and July. The summer D-backs Training Centers schedule features the most camps offered in the seven-year history of the program. The weeklong camps feature more than 15 hours of instruction on hitting, fielding and pitching for children. The camps feature one instructor for every 10 kids to teach the fundamentals of the game based on skill level. The D-backs Training Centers are the official youth baseball and softball camps of the Arizona Diamondbacks. In seven years, more than 15,000 kids have "learned to play the Diamondbacks way." From basic fundamentals to advanced player evaluations, the training programs are designed to meet Arizona's baseball and softball needs. Each camp day and session is choreographed to maximize participation and activity time and is structured to provide the best learning environment for each child. The camp instructors are handpicked by the D-backs organization from a group of former professional players and local collegiate and high school coaches. Registration is $150 per child for baseball and fast-pitch softball camps and $185 for advanced baseball camps. Each registration includes a D-backs hat and T-shirt.
