One Lucky Fan To Win Vehicle Makeover Courtesy Of NASCAR Performance Automotive Par CHARLOTTE, N.C. As NASCAR enters its stretch run to crown the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion, NASCAR Performance and its team of exclusive automotive partners are launching a second-straight effort to reward one lucky fan with its Ultimate NASCAR Performance Make-Over Sweepstakes. From Aug. 21 through Oct. 25, 2009, NASCAR fans are invited to enter the sweepstakes at www.NASCAR.COM/makeover. The Grand Prize winner will receive a vehicle makeover courtesy of Goodyear Gemini using quality parts provided by NASCAR Performance automotive partners. The vehicle makeover, valued at $10,000, can include paint and body work, new wheels and tires, new upholstery, new brakes, new filters as well as engine and other parts. The winner will also receive apparel and accessories of their favorite driver and a VIP trip for two to the season-ending Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Fla. In addition to the Grand Prize winner, there will also be three first place runner-up winners who will receive a full set of Goodyear Tires and American Racing Wheels. Twenty-five second place runner-up entries will win a NASCAR Performance prize pack which includes a collection of products from NASCAR Performance automotive partners. Avid NASCAR fan Shirley Campbell of Kent, N.Y. was the lucky winner of the sweepstakes. Campbells 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am underwent a complete mechanical makeover courtesy of top technicians at Dans Tire & Auto Service Center a Goodyear Gemini repair shop in Campbells hometown as well as a paint/body overhaul by Eddys Collision. This year, Goodyear Gemini dealers across the country will promote their affiliation with the sweepstakes at their 2,200 locations across the U.S. via in-store signage. Other NASCAR Performance partners, such as 3M and WIX Filters, will have special offers for consumers through the entry website. Still others, including Edelbrock and Autolite, will help drive traffic to the site by posting banner ads on their web sites.
