USS New York Built With Steel from World Trade Center Towers

NEW YORK - Sailors and Marines man the rails of the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21). The ship has 7.5 tons of steel salvaged from the World Trade Center towers forged into her bow, and will be used to support humanitarian, amphibious assault, special operations and expeditionary warfare missions around the world.
