Drivers who use Interstate 15 in northern Arizona should expect lane closures and possible delays next week while crews perform pavement preservation work.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises northern Arizona drivers to plan for lane restrictions during daylight hours in both directions on I-15 between mileposts 13 and 30, through the Virgin River Gorge, while crews complete roadway work that will help extend the life of the pavement. Crews applied an oil-based sealant on the roadway and will return to stripe the lanes Monday, Oct. 29 through Friday, Nov. 2, during daylight hours.

Motorists are advised to use caution around construction personnel and equipment, slow down and be prepared to merge into the open travel lane.
