This year’s production of A Christmas Carol: The Musical, at Fountain Hills Theater is truly a family affair. The cast of 34 includes members of 7 families, siblings and parents and their children.

Josie Sand, who plays Tiny Tim, talks about sharing the stage with her father, Marc: ”It is such an amazing and fun experience doing theater with my dad. I never thought that I’d be sharing my passion for theater with him. We have made so many great memories and there will be more to come!” Marc, like many parents, got talked into overcoming his stage fright and joining a production, by his daughter who, at age ten, has already performed in numerous shows!

Priscilla Pond, who plays Mrs. Fezziwig, has never been on stage before but made enough of an impression at auditions to be cast in this featured role. Her comment about the experience: “It has been fun and even bonding to get to experience first-hand all the hard work and detail that goes into each and every scene. It is very special to be able to experience that, with family support right there.”

Stephen Cihak, also a newbie to theater, is performing alongside his son Spencer and daughter, Sarah. He states that, “ it’s been great to see the kids have so much fun and be a part of the play. It is definitely a highlight of our holiday season.”

Other families sharing the stage are Peter J. Hill (the director) and Noel Irick (his wife and show choreographer), Scott Woods and his son, David and sisters Taylor and Riley Herrera and Jillian and Fallon Smith.
