Motorists advised to use as alternate routes during ramp closures

Crews are scheduled to pave a test strip tomorrow, August 13 between 4 a.m. and 1 p.m., temporarily closing the Vicksburg Road eastbound I-10 on-and off-ramp at Exit 45, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Crews will continue paving eastbound I-10 on Sunday night (Aug. 16). The I-10 on-ramp at Vicksburg Road will temporarily close to drivers during paving. Drivers should consider using alternate routes.

Crews are currently working on a project to remove and replace the pavement on I-10 in La Paz County (mileposts 41-52). Regularly scheduled work hours are 7 p.m. through 8 a.m. the following day, Sunday through Thursday. One lane restrictions will be in place in both directions.

The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph through the work zone. Law enforcement will be on-site to assist with traffic control.

The project is anticipated to be completed in late 2015.   back...
