It's nearly the end of September and the hot days are almost behind us. The cool Roosevelt evenings are a nice change and I, for one, am ready for the end of summer and the beginning of fall.

With each season comes change, and I think we are just about ready for the transformation of this publication. Over the last several months, we have made gradual upgrades to this paper. I am quite certain that readers will be impressed with the new facelift and added features. We've been working hard and listening to you as we fine tune in preparation for the new debut.

We here at Tonto Basin News are hoping to have everything ready and in place in time for the first November issue. We have just a few more adjustments, so it's possible the upgrades will be done next month. Either way, the redesign should be pleasing to all.

Speaking of redesign, a couple of the ads have seen some changes. Boston's has added a few more items to their menu, including pizza, brats and fried chicken (is it time for dinner yet?) as well as 4 new flat screen TVS. The largest has high definition and is great for watching the football games. Stop by and check it all out.

The ad for Hot Topic Printing has also been given a facelift. The building may look familiar to many who live in Globe. They can service all your print needs and will do local pickup and delivery. Check out the new ad across from page 15.

Until next issue - may you all have as much joy in your life as I have in mine.   back...
