Veterans Day is Sunday, November 11. Whether you're a proponent of the war in Iraq, or opposed to it (Edmund Burke once said, "The only thing necessary for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing."), our troops overseas put their lives on the line each and every day in order to afford us our freedom. This day is there to remind us not only of those who lost their lives fighting for that very idealism we often take for granted, but those who serve so that we may remain free.

Obviously, the remake of this publication is still undergoing changes (remember Murphy's Law). We promise the changes very soon.

Thanksgiving is just a few short weeks away and then the Christmas season begins. As we approach the end of another year, this publication enters its eleventh year. Where does the time go?

A few issues back, I gave readers some information about the Arizona School of Dentistry in Mesa (near Power Road and Baseline). I absolutely have to reiterate how absolutely wonderful this facility is, especially to patients who fear dentists more than physicians.

Their rates are about half the price of dentists in Maricopa County and very competitive with Globe. Although they do not accept checks, they do take cash and credit cards. They treat children and they have an emergency clinic. Most types of general dentistry is provided, including cleaning, fillings, root canals, crowns and dentures. Their phone number is 480-248-8100. I highly recommend them!

Baseball season is over for another year and the Boston Red Sox are the 2007 World Series Champions. My better half could not be more thrilled. Here's looking forward to another year of triumphs for everyone. Until next issue . . . take care.   back...
