Dabble in the Arts

Youth 12 years and older can receive free instruction in a variety of artistic skills thanks to the Florence Arts and Culture Commission. Dabble in the Arts offers instruction in painting, sketching, calligraphy and more on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Suter House located at 270 N. Pinal Street.

Historic Presentation – How We Survived Prohibition

The Az Humanities and Az Speaks program and Florence Community Services are offering another fascinating historic presentation on Tuesday, January 21st at the Community Center starting at 6:00 p.m. How We Survived Prohibition will be discussed by Lisa Schnebly Heidinger who has written 10 books about Arizona. She serves on the Arizona Trail Board of Directors and is a Northern Arizona University President’s Associate. This is a free event. The Community Center is located at 778 N. Main Street. Mother & Son Dance

It will soon be time for the annual Mother/Son Dance: Under the Big Top. The event is on Friday, January 24th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Library and Community Center. Cost is only $14.00 per person and pre-registration is required and due by Wednesday, January 15th. The evening includes dinner, dancing, a photo booth and endless memories that moms and sons will share. The Community Center is located at 778 North Main Street.
