Spring Intersession Recreation Program

Florence Community Services is offering its popular Spring Break Intersession Recreation Program from March 9th to March 20th, Monday through Friday. The program is designed for children in kindergarten through 6th grade and held at the Florence Library and Community Center at 778 N. Main Street. The activities include arts and crafts, cooking recipes, library trips and local field trips. The program runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and costs only $85 per week per child for residents and $100 for non-residents. Transportation is provided from the Anthem K-8 school. Arts and Culture Commission’s Dabble in the Arts

Youth 12 years and older can receive free instruction in painting, sketching, calligraphy and clay in the Dabble in the Arts program. Arts and Culture Commission members will assist and provide free supplies on March 13th and the 20th, both Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Suter House located at 270 N. Pinal Street.

Guitar Band Concert

The Florence Guitar Band will perform a free concert on Saturday, March 14th beginning at 2:00 p.m., at the Suter House, 270 N. Pinal Street. This is a free event.

Florence Music Fest 2020

A two-day music event is set for Saturday and Sunday, March 14th and 15th at the Territory Square, 174 W. First Street. Florence Music Fest includes nine different bands, food trucks, beer gardens, a wine booth and cornhole tournament for an advance ticket price of $25 per person. Advance tickets are on sale at http://www.FlorenceMusicFest.com. Tickets are $30 the day of. Overnight camping for three nights is available for $60.
