Readers will notice some slight cosmetic changes in this issue. I understand the old adage, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." However, we're always looking for ways to improve the overall appearance, as well as inside content. I had hoped to include an update on the world premiere of Jake's Corner, The Movie, in this edition. It made its debut at the Sedona International Film Festival this past weekend. Unfortunately, that nasty flu bug bit and I had to forego the opportunity to participate in all the excitement.

I did, however, have the opportunity to speak with executive producer Hollywood Heard and co-producer Tim Comstock, as well some folks who attended the festival.

The movie, which was "the most watched film," sold out at both the Friday and Saturday Screenings. Jake's Corner, The Movie, was so popular, around 100 people were turned away.

The good news, however, is that Jake's Corner, The Movie will be the showcase feature at the Phoenix International Film Festival on April 4 and 8 this year. If you haven't yet seen the trailer for the movie and/or the video clip of BJ Thomas singing "When The Hero Dies," you really should visit the website.

The producers are currently in the process of submitting this heartwarming film to other film festivals, both here in the States and abroad.

Updates will be posted both in this publication and on the website at tontobasinnews.com. Keep checking.   back...
