● Low pressure south of Nova Scotia will deepen and broaden this afternoon through Friday.
● The low will be centered near 40N65W early Friday, with the center of the low moving south-southeast during the day Friday.
● The low shifts farther east into the north Atlantic Friday night through Saturday.
● Winds will increase on the west side of the low, with northerly gales developing over the Gulf of Maine late today.
● The gales will gradually spread south tonight and Friday, becoming widespread east of 70.5W by Friday afternoon.
● Sustained winds to storm-force will occur Friday and Friday evening mainly from 34.5N to 41.5N east of 67W. Hurricane-force
wind gusts are likely.
● Mariners should begin to execute any necessary avoidance plans now.
