Earlier this week, the joint force struck Iran's Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant with 30,000-pound GBU-57 bombs, which resulted in the destruction of Iran's nuclear capabilities.

"At President [Donald J.] Trump's direction, the United States military successfully conducted Operation Midnight Hammer and completely obliterated Iran's nuclear capability, resulting in a ceasefire of the '12-day war,'" said Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell during the Weekly Sitrep video.

China is developing military technologies, capabilities and procedures at a pace and scale never before seen, said Army Gen. Ronald P. Clark, commander of U.S. Army Pacific, who spoke today during a strategic landpower forum at the Center for Strategic and International Studies headquarters in Washington.

It's also learning lessons from ongoing conflicts and are rapidly improving their ability to operate in a joint capacity, Clark said, adding that China's focus has been on anti-access and area denial in the air and maritime domains against the U.S. and its allies.

During a press briefing today on the last day of the NATO Summit in The Hague, Netherlands, President Donald J. Trump emphasized the need for all member states to share the financial burden of European defense spending.

Alliance members, he said, agreed to increase their annual defense spending, ultimately up to 5% of their gross domestic product.

MIAMI – The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Margaret Norvell transferred 20 aliens of Cuban nationality to The Bahamas, Tuesday, following a rescue on Anguilla Cay, Bahamas.

Homeland Security Investigations Miami agents notified Seventh Coast Guard District watchstanders of a possible group of aliens stranded on Anguilla Cay, Friday.

The Defense Department is putting American interests first in the U.S. Central and Africa Commands' areas of responsibility, said Katherine Thompson, performing the duties of the assistant defense secretary for international security affairs, during a hearing today before the House Armed Services Committee.

She elaborated that this means preventing and disrupting credible terrorist threats to the U.S., preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and supporting Israel's ability to defend itself.
