Festivities Include Playoffs Media Day, Burnout Blvd, Playoffs Party and Cole Swindell Concert

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR heads to the “Entertainment Capital of the World” to kick off the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs in grand fashion. Las Vegas will be the scene for an action-packed three days as NASCAR’s 16 best drivers and teams of 2018 begin their championship aspirations quest.

To celebrate the start of the sport’s postseason and engage fans, the festivities center around three major events: Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs Media Day; NASCAR Burnout Blvd Fueled by Sunoco (formerly known as Victory Lap); and a two-day Playoffs Party at Fremont Street Experience culminating in a free concert by platinum-selling recording artist Cole Swindell on 3rd Street Stage. All the proceedings take place before the green flag drops at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 16, when it hosts its inaugural postseason race – the South Point 400 – and NASCAR’s playoff opener at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT (NBCSN, PRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

Garcia’s Win Spotlights Successful Development Transition

In its infancy, there were too many drivers, not enough cars and far too few races for Rev Racing. The vision for diversity to truly take hold at NASCAR’s uppermost reaches was clear, though the path for getting there was foggy.

Fast-forward eight years and the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program has refined itself enough that Jefferson Hodges believes Rev Racing is ahead of the curve. Package Mirrors Dynamic Model of 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series Indianapolis Race

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR and Charlotte Motor Speedway today announced the format and competition package for the May 19 Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race, both tailored to achieve one goal – the best possible race for the fans.

For the first time, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series cars will implement the competition package used in last season’s successful NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which saw record numbers in leaders, lead changes and green flag passes for the lead.

PNC Bank Becomes Official Bank of NASCAR With Five-Year Agreement

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR and PNC Bank announced a five-year agreement that introduces the bank as the “Official Bank of NASCAR®” and “Official Wealth Management Partner of NASCAR®.”

The agreement provides PNC exclusive status and promotional rights around retail, corporate and private banking across the country and U.S. military bases abroad. PNC will be present at key NASCAR races throughout each season and offer its services to the industry, providing valuable insights to drivers, teams, tracks and sponsors. The agreement takes effect immediately.

NASCAR to Build on Strong Debut with Familiar Format Lengths

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR has set the 2018 stage lengths for its three national series, looking to build on last season’s successful debut of the race format.

In the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, all 2018 stage lengths will remain consistent with 2017. The race and stage lengths for the Charlotte Motor Speedway road course race in the Playoffs will be announced at a later date.
