Drivers who use the Loop 101 (Price Freeway) in the East Valley should plan to slow down and use caution while the following restrictions are in place:


Chandler Boulevard will be closed in both directions at the Price Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.

A study to assess the impacts of making improvements to Interstate 10 at the Broadway Curve –one of the most-heavily traveled sections of freeway in Arizona – is now available for public review and comment.

The Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for 11 miles of Interstate 10 from the Interstate 17 Split (near 24th Street) to the Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) in Chandler is now online at the project website:

Trailers aren’t advised with roadway narrowed at points due to flood damage

PHOENIX – Those taking State Route 88 (Apache Trail) between Apache Junction and Tortilla Flat should use caution with some areas at the edge of the roadway coned off while the Arizona Department of Transportation addresses flood damage.

New bridge will improve travel east of Valley for decades to come

PHOENIX – An Arizona Department of Transportation project on US 60 east of the Phoenix area is replacing the 70-year-old bridge over Pinto Creek with a nearly 700-foot span designed to better accommodate personal and commercial travel for decades to come.

Traffic restrictions are scheduled to begin Monday, Oct. 7, on US 60 between Miami and Superior as construction gets underway on the two-year, $22.7 million Pinto Creek Bridge project.

The southbound Interstate 17 exit ramp at Pinnacle Peak Road is scheduled to be closed through 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17. For the next 55 days, crews are scheduled to build the new off ramp that will take drivers onto Pinnacle Peak Road from southbound I-17 via a new tight diamond interchange.

DETOUR: Exit at Jomax Road. To access areas west of I-17, use the southbound frontage road to Happy Valley Road; then travel west to southbound 43rd Avenue to Pinnacle Peak Road. To access areas east of I-17, use eastbound Jomax Road to southbound 19th Avenue to Pinnacle Peak Road.
